Hannover Fairs USA and friendlyway open Wireless Cyber Café at CeBIT 2002

March 07, 2002

Munich, 7.03.2002 - friendlyway has been awarded the contract to set up a Wireless Cyber Café for US exhibitors and their guests at this year’s CeBIT. Visitors to the Wireless Cyber Café can make use of numerous friendlyway Internet access stations, which will provide up-to-date news and e-mail facilities.

Installations of this kind have been successfully implemented by friendlyway both in the U.S. and in a number of European countries. Cyberlounges have proved a major attraction for trade fair delegates and exhibitors. At the last Systems, approximately 20 friendlyway Internet access systems were set up in loose formation as a Cyberlounge, and thousands of visitors used them to surf the Internet.

“We are pleased that Hannover Fairs USA, a subsidiary of Deurtsche Messe AG, has confidence in our products. Diverse and productive transatlantic synergies have already developed between friendlyway AG in Munich and friendlyway Inc. in San Francisco. This confirms that the decision of the group to expand early in the U.S. was a good one,” says Klaus Trox, Managing Director of friendlyway AG.

The Wireless Cyber Café will be open March 13 – 20, 2002 in the USA Software & Internet Solutions Pavilion in Hall 7, stand C06, of the Hannover trade fair centre.
New friendlyway items on display at CeBIT 2002 are to be found at the friendlyway stand in Hall 6, Stand H46: these include the “videomail station”, “media memorial stone”, “speaking advertising display” and “artificial bank consultant”.

For example, customers will transfer product information onto their mobile computer electronically and take it home with them. friendlyway develops technological solutions for this purpose which are marketed via the friendlyway partner network throughout Europe, in Asia and also in the U.S. through its own subsidiary, friendlyway Inc. in San Francisco.
