friendlyway: Trade fair contacts are compiled automatically!

September 23, 2002

Munich, 23.09.2002 - In time for the start of the Autumn trade fair season, friendlyway is bringing out the ‘Contact Manager’ on the internet kiosk system friendlyway classic. The slendor information kiosk includes a business card scanner integrated on the keyboard extension. The user places his business card on the feeder. The card is drawn in and the address is automatically read into the system. The user saves himself having to type in addresses. Using the addresses collected, the system offers personalized information and services at trade fairs and events.

The benefit of the new system is the quick compilation of the contact information and the subsequent automated management. Thus contacts made at trade fairs can be sent to the company’s office on the same day. There the data can be used to send out information desired by the customer. So the customer receives prospects and catalogues sent to him before he’s back from the trade fair and without having to lug them around.

This kiosk can be bought or rented. Additionally, the friendlyway partner network offers the services of delivering the kiosk to trade fairs, installing it, supervising its use during the trade fair and picking up the system after the trade fair. The exhibitor does not have to attend to any of this himself.

"Trade fair exhibitors do not usually put as much as 1% of their trade fair budgets towards compiling customer contacts. However, nothing’s really more important than winning new customers and providing existing customers with the most current information. Business cards disappear in employees’ coat pockets never to be found again, or important client information is jotted down on scraps of paper which end up in the wash," Klaus Trox, chairman of the board for the friendlyway AG, explains.
